The 14th annual Art at the Trace, sponsored by the City of Centerville and the Centerville Arts Commission, will be held 6:30 – 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace, 10000 Yankee Street in Centerville.
The event will feature 18 artists and hundreds of works of fine art in a variety of mediums including photography, painting, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics and mixed media on display for viewing and purchase.
Don Henry is the featured artist for this year’s event. Henry works in oil and acrylics across a range of categories, from landscapes to abstracts. “I paint from experience and imagination, from photos of spectacular places, and from subjects that clients wish to have painted,” he says. For the past 15 years he has participated in a number of art shows, galleries, exhibitions and art competitions. Most recently, his paintings have been juried into the Rosewood Gallery (The View) and the Richmond Art Museum’s 120th Exhibition. Examples of his work may be viewed at donhenryartist.com. Henry has donated a framed and matted print entitled “Washday at the Lighthouse” valued at $280 to be raffled at the event. Several other artists have also donated pieces for the drawing. All ticket holders will be entered in the drawing and must be present to win.
