The Finance Department administers all of the fiscal operations for the City, which include: income tax collection, waste collection billing, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, budgeting, investing and financial reporting.

City Financial Documents

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is prepared by the City annually within the guidelines of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) to provide comprehensive annual financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure. These reports are audited by an independent auditor each year.

The Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) is prepared annually within the guidelines of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) to provide financial reports that are readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public or other interested parties without a background in public finance. 

The City's Budget and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) are presented to Council annually.

 The Basic Financial Statements for the Centerville Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) are prepared and filed with the Auditor of State’s Office (AOS) annually. Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 1724.05 requires community improvement corporations established under this Code section to report annually on a GAAP basis. The financials are now included as a component unit in the City’s audit.
