Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County is the public health department for the City of Centerville.
Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County addresses public health issues such as keeping food, water, and air safe, and keeping incidents of disease low. The Combined Health District works with area hospitals and organizations to provide the following services:
- Adolescent Wellness
- Birth and Death Certificates
- Child health services
- Communicable Disease Surveillance
- Disease education and support for AIDS/HIV, Cancer, Tuberculosis, Lupus
- Diabetes education and support
- Emergency preparedness, including the planning, training, and preparing for terrorist events and natural disasters.
- Home health care for the elderly and disabled
- Immunizations
- Inspections and Licenses for Plumbing Contractors, Septic Installers, Restaurants, Grocers, Food Vendors, Swimming Pools, Hotels/Motels, Tattoo Operators, Inspections and Permits for Plumbers, Well Installation, Waste Haulers, and Industrial (Air Pollution)
- Lead poison prevention
- Mosquito control including West Nile Virus prevention and testing
- Nuisance abatement
- Prenatal education, care, and support
- Rabies Control
- Substance abuse treatment and prevention
- Waste Collection Vehicle Inspections and Permits
- Water and Sewage for Private Homes
- Well Field Protection Program
