Yes, you need a Minor Site Plan Zoning Permit for a proposal to add additional impervious surface larger than 250 square feet to the property. If any of this work is taking place within the Public Right-Of-Way, you will need a Right-Of-Way Permit from the Public Works Department as well.

What are the restrictions on temporary ground signs?
Signs are regulated by type, height, sign area (square footage) and location. Submit a Sign Permit Application form along with a copy of a site plan which includes landscaping (ground signs only), an elevation drawing or photo of the building frontage (wall signs only), a drawing / schematic of the sign to measurable scale to indicate sign height dimensions and overall sign area. What is the process to apply?
An application isn’t officially received until all applications, plan sets and application fees are paid. Once the application is approved, it will either be mailed to the applicant or sent to Building Inspection to begin that review, when applicable. A call for pickup of a permit can be arranged by request.
