The City’s annual tree planting to celebrate Arbor Day will be held Wednesday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m. at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The City will plant 25 trees of various types, including the City’s official tree the Red Horse-Chestnut. This helps to commemorate Centerville as a Tree City USA. 2020 marks Centerville’s 34th consecutive annual Tree City USA award and we will again receive a Growth Award.
In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the public and students representing the 9 elementary schools serving Centerville will not be invited to help in the Arbor Day tree planting.
