Golf Course Technician
The City of Centerville is now hiring for the full-time position of Golf Course Technician with The Golf Club at Yankee. The Golf Club at Yankee Trace is a championship 27-hole resort-style golf course that includes a full-service restaurant and high-end banquet facilities. We seek energetic and hardworking people who can assist us in delivering exemplary customer service to our guests.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs routine manual labor in maintaining the grounds of the golf course.
- Operates mowers and other grounds maintenance equipment in maintaining the golf course.
- Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
- Maintains fuel and fluid levels for maintenance equipment.
- Report equipment problems to the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and/or Mechanic.
- Assists in project work e.g. construction of new tees, and greens; directs groundskeeper with the maintenance tasks.
- Performs irrigation repairs, fertilizes the turf, and spray plant protection.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; and completion of specialized training in grounds maintenance
- Three (3) years experience in golf course grounds maintenance and repair
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful in the position. Preferred qualification: Commercial Spray License.
